Horizontal Chemical & Process Pump Priming and Air Seperation accomplished within Casing
Twin Volute designed S.P. Casing exhausts suction with only an initial priming charge of liquid in casing. During priming cycle, lower volute functions as intake whole upper volute discharges liquid and entrained air into separation chamber. Air is separated pump through pump discharge while liquid recirculates into lower volute once air is completely emptied from suction & liquid fills impeller eye, pump is fully primed and works as a normal chemical centrifugal pump with both volutes acting as discharges double volute casing is so designed so that made quote volume on liquid for repriming is always retained in pump even if liquid is allowed to draw back to source of supply from discharge & suction pipe.
